Video: How to add your info to your client’s phone

You want your info saved on your clients’ phones. This is way better than a business card, because they always have their phones with them. This lets them know it’s you when calling them, and it makes it really easy for them to call you. Not only that, but you can make sure they have all of your info, including your mobile and office numbers, email address, website, address, and even your photo. As a bonus, you can share your birthday with them so they can buy you a gift, should you be so lucky!

This method is for iPhones, because that’s what I use, and lots of you and your clients have them, but the process should be fairly similar for Android phones. Now, let’s get to it.

Create Your Contact Info

First of all, you’ll need to make sure all your info is on your phone, showing all the info you wish to share. To do this, open the Contacts app, then look to see if there’s an entry for your name already (there should be). If there is, you can edit it, and if there’s not, tap the + symbol at top right to add a new one. If you have any personal info in your existing card that you don’t want to share, you can always create a second contact card for sharing.

Now, add all the info to share with clients. Add the basic info as mentioned above, and if you want, you can add your Facebook and Twitter accounts if you use either, but those are optional. I suggest that you definitely add add your photo. If you have a good one saved on your phone you can choose it, otherwise, just snap a picture. After you get everything entered, save your card, and you’re done with setup.

Get Your Card Onto Their Phone

Now, anytime you meet with clients, especially if you notice they have an iPhone, tell them you want to make sure they have your info. To do it, you simply open your own contact card, then swipe down to the bottom, and tap “Share Contact”.

From here, you’ll want to text your card to them. This is a great chance to get their cell phone number if you don’t already have it. Just say “What’s your number? I’m going to send you my contact info.” Then enter their number, and text your card over.

Your card will appear on their phone as a text message. Now, you can either tell them how to save it, or do it for them. On their phone, tap on your card, which then opens up to show all your details. To save it on their phone, scroll down to the bottom of your card, and press “Create New Contact”. That’s all there is to it!

Wrapping Up

Now that your contact info is saved on your client’s phone, each time you call them, your name and photo will appear. Furthermore, you’ve made it extremely easy for your client to call you. Try this out with your spouse or a friend, get familiar with the process, and start getting on your clients’ phones.
