Case Study

Here's a case one of our agents submitted, which just got approved this week.

I didn’t know you sold Annuities or Life Insurance


  • Medicare Supplement client has interest from annuity that she “never uses” (she’s a widow).
  • She doesn’t have LTC (but has 1 small life policy). She recognizes the need for LTC but was hesitant paying the tall premium and never using the coverage.

The agent presented Life with LTC (which she’d never heard of before), and made a sale. Not only is this agent taking care of his client, but he made over $6,000 in commission!

  • Client: 65 female (standard NT, 4th best health rate)
  • Premium: $7,150 annual
  • Death Benefit: $300,000
  • Monthly LTC Benefit: $12,000

On a side note, the client doesn’t have her ANNUITY money with her Med Supp agent. Her quote…“I didn’t know you sold Annuities or Life Insurance.

Remember, Hancock is reducing the issue age to 75 for the LTC rider (starting Jan. 2014). We still have other carriers that will go to age 80 however.
